A Ghost of a Girl
To get this effect I put a cylindrical clear glass vase over the camera lens. I tried to shoot through the bottom of the vase but it was too thick, but I could shoot through the side if I tilted it a little. Spinning the vase gave me different light refraction depending on the imperfections in the glass. I much prefer to shoot this way so I can see the distortion with my own eyes.
The Black Queen
This is the second phase of the black fabric shoot, the unexpected one. While the model was taking a break with the fabric tube draped around her shoulders in a gown like fashion I thought of this. Erika Moen starring as my muse.
Bird
Gorgeous posture collar by Ego Assassin. I have to use it at least once a year. It’s a little hard to see in these shots though, you’ll just have to trust that it’s beautiful.

Red Meat
For the curious, the model is covered in child safe glitter paint. I’ve found most child safe, water washable craft paints to be really fun to work with on human skin because they fall apart almost instantly and are easily affected by a spritz of water. In the unedited shots that paint was blue but I didn’t like it, so I changed the color in Photoshop. This is one instance where I did use computer trickery to adjust the color and completely change the original mood of the shot. There is also a gold version.
One of my favorite photo shoots. The only thing she is wearing that is actual clothing is the leather bra. Everything else was acres of fabric that we pinned, tied, wrapped and stuffed into that little bra.
