Gold Leaf
Model is Sister Thyme
Snow Demon
(Sometimes my ideas simply evolve out of my need to see certain textures together. I wanted to do a clay/cracked earth skin treatment with flour and water, and I had this weird medical back brace with lots of straps and rope. The torn up skirt was an afterthought, and everything was used together simply because they were all white and all a version of decay. The end result to me was some sort of amazing kung fu fantasy god/demon anime character. I recommend you look at them full size if you can.)
Godlike modeling: Van
Mountain
(The reason the blacks are so rich is because I covered her in Bag Balm and then painted her black.)
Liquid Gold
This was one of the worst photo shoots to clean up. The model is covered in gold oil based body paint and honey. It was sticky and water resistant and the shower at the studio was pretty scary. I had to lay down a trail of plastic garbage bags so she could shuffle and drip her way to the shower. My models are the BEST!
Red Meat
For the curious, the model is covered in child safe glitter paint. I’ve found most child safe, water washable craft paints to be really fun to work with on human skin because they fall apart almost instantly and are easily affected by a spritz of water. In the unedited shots that paint was blue but I didn’t like it, so I changed the color in Photoshop. This is one instance where I did use computer trickery to adjust the color and completely change the original mood of the shot. There is also a gold version.
